This motor car was restored in the late 90s in Italy by a renowned collector-restorer to the highest standards. With a mostly complete ownership history in hand, this vehicle was once owned by the President of Disney, Stanley Gold.
It is one of only 228 Porsche 356 Pre-A Continentals sold, and one of only 50 Continental Cabrios, This car may be one of only 15 cars that are known to exist today. This car presents an extremely rare opportunity to own one of the rarest 356 models ever made.
Originally made in Silver, the Continental was repainted to a luscious jet black color, but retains its original color green interior, with a stunning green dashboard, and beautiful Telefunken radio. It also retains its original gauges, and is fully functional and ready to drive.
While it no longer has its original engine (34514), it was replaced by #35786, which is the correct engine for this car from the same year, as you can tell by the closeness of the numbers. A complete refresh restoration was done on the car in 2009 and the car appears as if it was just restored last year. The floors are in excellent condition as well as the very rare original turbine wheels.
The car fires up and shifts through all gears like butter, and it is truly a joy to drive and to be seen in.
