1987 Porsche 944 Turbo
72,000 original miles. All stock, never modified, tracked, raced or abused.
This car has always been meticulously maintained & garage kept. It comes with all service records from the past 20 years. It has also just had the very expensive, timing belt, balance shaft belt, belt rollers & water pump replacement. If you know these cars, then you know the timing belt should be changed every 3 years & while you’re in there, go ahead and replace all the other wear parts. If you’re shopping for a 944 and the seller can’t prove this preventative maintenance has been completed, you better not pay full price. I have also recently rebuilt the brake calipers using OE, NOS Porsche pistons & seals. Over a grand just for the brake parts. They make cheaper parts but they don’t fit. It’s also had some other minor work done to it, in total about 3,600 dollars spent on recent work to make this a reliable daily driver. As of now, everything is in good working order. A/C blows cold, the cruise control works, clutch is strong, head lights go up & down like they should. The gauges all work, the power seats, etc… you won’t be disappointed. The car has the original paint and shines bright. This car has lived a pampered life.
The mileage may increase because I am currently driving the car on a daily basis because I love reliving the 80’s.. oh yeah, the original Blaupunkt Stereo sounds excellent. I use a cassette adapter to plug in Pandora and rock out to my favorite 80’s new wave tracks.
If you’ve been shopping for an unmolested Porsche 951 then you know they’re hard to come by. This one is all up on the maintenance and is turn key ready to go. It’s about as close as you’re going to get to perfect for under 20k ( oh btw- there’s another similar car online that’s been on here for a long time, they’re trying to get much more for it, I’ve seen it, went to buy it, very disappointed for as much as they’re asking… this one is much better & cheaper ) There’s not many of these low mileage all original 951’s on the market, this one is competitively priced to sell.
