Presenting an incredibly well preserved and original single family owned 1975 Carrera Coupe. This beautiful example shows approximately 53k miles, and still wears its original Peru Red exterior paint as well as the original Cinnamon leather interior complete all the way down to its original Blaupunkt AM/FM receiver (which is currently inoperable).

An unusual and uncommon combination, the car was ordered in Peru Red with Cinnamon Leather, metal finish window trim, and Carrera Door Script delete. Some mild patina can be found on the hood and whale tale in the form of mild oxidation, but the roof, fenders, quarters and pillars retain their factory finish. Overall, blemishes are minimal, with the only cosmetic repair being the driver’s door mirror that was refinished in preparation for the sale.

The vehicle was delivered new at Porsche‘s distributor: Porsche-Audi North Division in Dublin, OH on January 24, 1975. Over its life, the car spent its early years in Ohio, before spending most of its life in Texas and California. The undercarriage is free of corrosion or sign of inclement weather exposure. The original 15″ Fuch alloys remain scuff free and show little to know sign of environmental damage or deterioration, although the tires are aged out and show signs of sidewall decomposition. The battery box is free of corrosion and the spare tire well shows no sign of moisture. All body seam brush marks and spot welds show to be original, and exhibit no sign of torsional stress, trauma, or rust repair.

The interior is wears its factory Cinnamon leather on the seats, dash cap, and accessories, and all carpets, plastics and dash cover are original. There is some typical variation in colors between the different materials due to age, and the dash cover exhibits some curling and waving along the windshield. The seat leather is healthy and supple with the driver’s seat showing some wear on the entry side bolster, however the OEM seat covers overall have been preserved well with no shrinking or seams splits. The only notable addition to the interior is a set of OEM accessory seatbelts that have been added to the rear seats during ownership.

Inside the engine bay, you will find a completely stock powerplant. All belt driven accessories are in place, although the vehicle was not equipped from the factory with A/C. Upon start-up, no oil smoke, or valvetrain noise is noted. The cases are mostly dry with some minor seepage from timing covers, valve covers, etc, although no fluid makes it to the floor. The vehicle is completely operational and runs and drives, however we would recommend the installment of new tires before attempting any real driving. The transmission shifts as it should, and the clutch engages and disengages smoothly and properly.

The Porsche COA is present and drivetrain components have been verified as original and all engine and transmission casings show no sign of tampering, dry ice cleaning, or impact damage. Additional documentation present are the original owner’s manual/warranty book with stamping and delivery documentation and partial service records. All original keys are still present as well with one set remaining in its original plastic bag. Also present, are the factory tool kit, original spare tire, and jack.

Overall, the car is a true survivor. It’s not perfect, but it is original and as they say “it’s only original once”. If you’re looking for a unique Porsche to add to the stable; one that is completely unmolested and remains in stock condition, look no further.
