A surprisingly affordable choice for a first Porsche

The Porsche 911 is one of the most iconic automobile designs, and it has virtually had the same look since its original conception in 1964. From the recognizable headlight design to the rear-mounted engine, the 911 is a German engineering marvel.

Black Horse Garage is proud to represent this 1982 Porsche 911 SC.

This 911 is a driver’s dream and a winner on the Concours scene. It is painted in a blinding Grand Prix White with vinyl red Porsche stripes, and the car is lowered over red-painted Fuchs with minor wear and factory wheel locks. It has been maintained extensively and comes with many service records, tools, and an original tire air pump.

The vehicle has also had numerous reliability upgrades, including Carrera tensioners, a CIS airbox pop-off valve, and turbo valve covers; the head studs, timing chains, chain rails, and rod bearings were all replaced. Braided steel brake lines have been fitted, the clutch is an updated unit, and the five-speed 915 transmission shifts smoothly thanks to a new nylon coupler and associated bushings. More recent work has included:

An oil change.

AC service.

Hunter road force wheel balance.

New engine-to-thermostat.

Thermostat-to-tank oil lines.

A new battery.

The paint is in good shape over straight panels with no accidents. We believe a lot of the paint is original except the rear deck lid, which replaced an incorrect whale tail installed by a previous owner – further, a run-in with a shopping cart left a three-inch scratch on the passenger side rear fender, which a reputable Denver body shop repaired, from one of the previous owners who had it for 14 years.

The black leather seats and carpet are in excellent condition, and some modern amenities like USB ports and over-the-shoulder harnesses are in the rear seats.
